Included in your kit:
  • 2 tiles (in case one broke during transit)
  • masking tape
  • sponge
  • grout
  • plastic putty knife

Instructions:
  1. pop the broken tile off - we usually use a metal putty knife and a hammer.
  2. glue a new tile on - unfortunately we couldn’t mail tile adhesive as it would harden before arriving to you. Any strong adhesive or even hot glue would work here.
  3. wait a day for the adhesive to dry.
  4. mix the grout with water - start with a small amount, maybe a teaspoon, and keep adding until you get the consistency of toothpaste or peanut butter.
  5. let the grout sit for a few minutes to strengthen.
  6. use the masking tape to outline your groutline, this will make cleaning the tile easier.
  7. when the grout is hardened a bit, give it a quick mix and use the plastic putty knife to put grout into the groutlines and smooth it out.
  8. after at least 15 minutes, you can use a lightly damp sponge to smooth the grout further. If the sponge has too much water, it will loosen the grout and it could fall out. Make sure the sponge does not drip and squeeze out as much water as possible.
  9. let dry for at least a day and remove the masking tape.
